During his half-year in space, Alneyadi will carry out experiments to study heart cells in microgravity and will share one of his favorite foods, dates, with his crewmates. On Monday night, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon capsule will launch from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Sultan Alneyadi is the second Emerati to fly in space but the first assigned to a full-duration six-month stay aboard the International Space Station. Monday night marks the beginning of a six-month expedition for four astronauts as they lift off from the Kennedy Space Center for the International Space Station. The Crew Dragon, carrying two NASA astronauts, a Russian cosmonaut, and a history-making United Arab Emirates astronaut, is set to launch at 1:45 a.m. and dock at the space station at 2:38 a.m. Tuesday.
