CyberSecurity Hackers sell data center logins for some of the biggest companies in the worldPakyong, 22 Feb: Hackers gained access to login information for data centers in Asia used by some of the largest companies in the world, a potential goldmine for surveillance or sabotage, according to a cybersecurity research group. There were about 2,000 affected GDS and STT GDC clients. Security experts claim that China, where businesses are required to collaborate with local data service providers, is where the problem is most acute. “If they succeed in doing that, they might potentially disrupt business and communications on a huge scale.”Two of Asia’s largest “colocation” service providers are GDS and STT GDC. According to Yoo and the documents, it promptly informed the affected clients of Resecurity, GDS, STT GDC, and others.
