Klopp wanted a reaction from his Liverpool side against Crystal Palace after the demolition at Anfield by Real Madrid. Despite making some changes in midfield with James Milner and Naby Keïta coming into the side, it was just the same recipe. Once again, the Liverpool midfield struggled to control the game, especially in defensive transitions, and allowed Crystal Palace to cause their defense problems time and time again. Palace youngster Michael Olise seemed to evade Liverpool's midfield time and time again. He brushed past Jordan Henderson with ease on multiple occasions and completed five out of his six attempted dribbles in the game.
