The lower floor of Creelman Hall at the University of Guelph is a historic maze of corridors and alleys, institutional loading areas and storage rooms. The Gryphon burger pulls in local ingredients that sing the praises of producers both a county away and in Guelph’s backyard. Hospitality Services at UG is also donating a dollar from each burger sold at 100 Mile Grille to the Guelph Student Foodbank,” says Mark Kenny, foodservice procurement manager at the university. As of earlier this month, 100 Mile Grille had sold 750 Gryphon burgers.
