The Panthers have beaten the Eels 22-16 in the grand final rematch after Parramatta star recruit Josh Hodgson endured a horror start in his club debut. Despite the Eels having plenty of ball and opportunities, the Panthers lead 18-4 at halftime. Jaeman Salmon was the only premiership winner in the Penrith line up with both clubs blooding a string of rookies. It wasn’t so much the skill - and make no mistake they boast a conveyor belt of junior talent - but the way in which they played ‘the Penrith way’. They conceded two length-of-the-field tries after coughing up the ball while pressing the Panthers’ line and it was largely due to the indecision of their halves.

China unleashed a massive expansion of coal power generation last year despite pleas from Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry and Western governments for the nation to take more climate action, according to an independent analysis released Monday. "China continues to be the glaring exception to the ongoing global decline in coal plant development," Global Energy Monitor analyst Flora Champenois said in a statement. Coal power can have as much as twice the carbon footprint as natural gas. The massive uptick in coal power generation comes as the U.S., led by Kerry, continues to push China to take climate action more seriously. The U.S. is on track to have just 150 gigawatts of coal power capacity by 2029, the data showed.
