Connor Beazley, 12, was given James Fisher-Harris' playing boots after the NRL All Stars game. Kayden Martin loved being at the NRL All Stars game.

With the Federal Reserve raising interest rates at a relatively quick pace to combat inflation, farmers and ranchers have faced some different calculations when making decisions about their operations. He says interest rates more than doubling in a relatively short amount of time has changed the situation for producers. They had experienced a long run of low interest rates. Sherrick says the Fed is raising interest rates in response to “incredibly strong” inflation, and adds that interest rates were kept artificially low during the coronavirus pandemic to help support other sectors of the economy. Still, Sherrick says this is a historic increase in interest rates, even if asset values have also seen historic increases.

Jetstar passengers stuck for 7 hours after emergency landing in Alice Springs

The Jetstar Dreamliner diverted to Alice Springs. As Alice Springs Airport is not an international airport, the passengers were told they could not leave the plane to stretch their legs. Passengers were held on the tarmac for nine hours following the emergeny landing in Alice Springs. JQ30 from Bangkok made an emergency landing, diverting to Alice Springs. “We were on there for hours… hours!” says this former air hostess.
