Emma Bridgewater, a potter with close ties to the royal family, has developed hand-painted commemorative mugs to honour the King's impending coronation. Prices include £19 for a plate, £23 for a mug and £80 for a teapot. He added the royal family “held a very special place here in our hearts at Emma Bridgewater”. “The pottery industry has a longstanding tradition of producing commemorative ware that goes back probably to the mid-17th century.

Your local Wildlife Trust is improving habitats for all sorts of species across the North West, and the arrival of otters again proves that we are providing a suitable welcome to a variety of creatures. Founder of iconic Llanelli music shop hands over reins and retires

Alun Rees has been at the helm of a much-loved music shop in the heart of Llanelli for 16 years. Cadno Music has not just been a music store, it has also been a successful music school. The shop will be known as the Llanelli Music Shop and also feature their Llanelli School of Music and Drama. Looking back at his time running Cadno Music, Alun said: "It has been the love of a lifetime. He said:"The music school was always something we wanted to do and it nurtured many young musicians who have gone on to do great things with their lives."

'Sub-zero' temperatures and snow set to hit the UK over coming days

Northern areas of England, Wales and the Midlands will then be hit with more snow on Sunday, with the snow making its way further south from the start of next week. A sharp drop in temperatures will come alongside this, with night-time lows of -6C expected in the northernmost areas and daytime temperatures only reaching -1C in Inverness on Monday. The snow is likely to hit northern regions first, but we now expect southern areas to see some snow within this period. Many areas becoming drier and brighter through the day, with showers becoming confined to northern areas.

Customers donated more than 2.4 million meals during the Tesco Food Collection at the beginning of December, with 9,036 of those meals donated coming from shoppers in Cardiff. The total amount of food donated by shoppers to the Trussell Trust and FareShare during the year was equivalent to 12.5 million meals, 9,036 of which came from Cardiff. "We had people donating whole trollies of food at our recent food collection, and it is genuinely heart-warming to see so much kindness. With both charities continuing to need support, Tesco shoppers can continue to make donations at permanent collection points at every store in the UK.

HOPEFUL: Tom Dowling brings us the latest news as the BBC make diversity pledgeTHE BBC has pledged to significantly improve opportunities for disabled people on and off screen. BBC iPlayer is also creating a dedicated collection called ‘Count Us In’ that celebrates disabled programming and talent. Their Diversity in UK TV study revealed that an average of 1.6% of the characters had a disability, compared with 21.7% of the UK population. Of the 10, six had no disabled characters in their regular cast and only Coronation Street had more than one. Carolina added: “This research shows a glaring diversity gap around the portrayal of disabled people.
